My sister says the cat's name was Tabby. A color pic shows he/she looked amazingly like Storm, and was very much in love with the family dachshund, Berbily.

I feel so lucky to have been privileged enough to take care of him and his mother and brothers for all those years. He single-handedly changed the direction of my life, and he knew what he was doing. "Just a cat".......

I am so sorry....it is almost one year since my sweet Mickey left us and still miss her every day. A good kitty is such a special gift and Floppy was a wonderful gift to you.

Thanks everyone. It wasn't a blow like Daisy or Robocat. He's been in decline for a year or so. I remember this time last year wondering if he was going to be around in a year. The cancer was a big surprise, but I expected something to get him soon. The big thing is that it wasn't just the loss of one cat, it was the close of entire chapter that include his brothers and Daisy. And, this orange nutcase has me dying of laughter today...

Oh Mark, I'm so sorry for this news on dear, precious, brave Floppy...tears. Your special boy was treated to the comfort of his own bed at home with his daddy for his transition. Floppy was indeed lucky to have you as his "pops" for 18 years...all your boys are lucky. Sending healing thoughts to you.

My dear Mark -- I'm so so very sorry that your beloved Floppy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I certainly know your heart is aching at this loss. He will be with your other treasures who are at the Bridge welcoming him to the forever, ever. I will never, ever forgot Floppy and your devotion to him, his care and his quality of life. You are one fine "Cat Daddy". Hugs. Rest well brave, brave Floppy, rest well.

Floppy was laid out in his bed in the living room overnight. They all came out one by one and sniffed him, and that was that. Mikesch spent the most time with him, and sniffed him very thoroughly. They're doing fine.

Oh Mark, that's sad news, I am so sorry. I hoped that Floppy would have some more good weeks but.....He had a great and long life together with you and his brothers, every cat should have such a good life. I will miss your boy, he will never be forgotten. How is Mikesch doing without his Floppy ?

It was alot of years, cat or human. I moved a whole lot better 18 years ago, lol! At least we got to get creaky together, although he had me beat by a fair amount. I calculated it out once and figured me, him and his brothers were the same age for a little while in like 2005. This last group of cat (which are the last) are well matched to me. Males in my family don't go much beyond 65-70. I'm 55, and Ambercat is 3 in August, and the Feral Brothers are 5 in about July. Good timing.
