I felt really bad after I read this. As a huge animal lover and advocate it is very hard for me to understand how there are people like those, let alone a whole community. God bless you for not failing to do what you can.

Smokeyfuffy, I completely agree with you. Budders and Merimouse, to be honest I feel really sad and powerless concerning the fate of these babies. Everytime I leave Crete I'm worried for them and I'm never sure which cat I will see again.Tks for your support. Few pics of some of the too numerous STARVING stray Cretan cats that we fed(secretly)everyday for 2 months during our vacation.In this island,cats are hated.There is no birth regulation.Cats are massively poisoned before the summer tourist arrival.When we leave, they go back to their miserable life,wandering for food and survival, the more to blame being females and kittens.A short life of starvation.Have a look at those sweet creatures!Well,we're far from the lie happy greek cats postcards...
