Hello Mike, and thank you for everything.There are many ways to help those babies:foster, adopt,provide vets for neutering campains,take medicine to Crete,send cat blankets,translate organizations leaflets, build cat cafes or dog houses, escort animals, encourage the organizations and of course make donations...("Cretan Cat a list" or "Noah's Ark Crete", both organizations run by foreign people:Irish and German).They have web sites, just check on google... Houston mi,it's true that Crete is really a beautiful island, but you have to be blind to animals to enjoy your stay.You know,I wish I could do more.And if i upload pics on Picato it's not to show "look how good i am", it's just that they are part of me and that I think of them many times a day.I feel so powerless...
About this cat
Few pics of some of the too numerous STARVING stray Cretan cats that we fed(secretly)everyday for 2 months during our vacation.In this island,cats are hated.There is no birth regulation.Cats are massively poisoned before the summer tourist arrival.When we leave, they go back to their miserable life,wandering for food and survival, the more to blame being females and kittens.A short life of starvation.Have a look at those sweet creatures!Well,we're far from the lie happy greek cats postcards...
