yeah, I think you're the best "dad' he can have.My Zuzu the first 10 days she was under beds, under bookcases etc. as it was a triple shock for her:she moved here from Athens, she was sterilized, and she had a new master to boot! Now she's very happy in my garden, climbs the trees, etc. and hunts all the pests, she has killed 2 mice already! not to mention cockroaches, lizards, grasshoppers, dragonflies, everything.
2 weeks ago I came home from work and found this little guy, another kitten just like him, and an adult I presume to be their mother in my yard. I'm in the sticks and there shouldn't be cats walking around like this, so I assumed they were dumped or feral. There were coyotes out the last few nights, so I made an emergency decision to trap them. Normally when I do that I leave the trap wired open for as long as it takes to get them used to it before trapping, but I didn't have time for that. Unfortunately, this was the only one I got, the other two wouldn't go in, and I haven't seen them since. This one's a boy, about 12 weeks old, and was very feral when I caught him, and tried to bite through my welder's glove. I kept hiom in the garage for a few days, and he escaped and hid real good in there. He tamed down VERY fast and now 2 weeks later, he has the run of the house and the enclosure. Robocat really took to him, and Chloe is terrified of him! I'm in touch with a feral rescue group and am his foster right now.
