He somehow got out of the cage again last night after making a mess of it. He got free run of the gargae for a little while until I cleaned it. Bit me pretty hard on my gloves while I was retrieving him. He ended up going back into the cage on his own after he realized there wasn't anywhere to hide. Still acting pretty wild, but at least he lets me pet him without snarling or swatting.

How was the little ones second night ? You have a heart of gold that you take care of him and his brother although you have 4 cats already. To be honest I found myself in the same situation years ago and ended up with 7 cats but I would never regret I have kept them. So lets see you will have 6 cats soon and what Floppy says about it.

I think the mom was sort of a patchwork, maybe calico. I'm sure mom was abandoned so the kits aren't true ferals, they've just grown up outside and never interacted with people, so they tame down quickly when they realize they can manipulate the creatures with the opposable thumbs.

Very handsome kitty. What color is the mom cat? Perhaps they were around people before since they don't seem too wild.

He's already starting to calm down. He's acting just like his brother did in fact. In a week's time he'll pretty much be acting like he owns the place I predict.

Poor baby. He doesn't know you are just trying to help him have a wonderful life. Good luck with the Mom!

He's back in. Like his brother, no hissing or swatting, he just bunches up. I put on the welder's gloves and scruffed him and that was that.

He's big! Hope you can get him back into the cage!

Well, just like his brother, he somehow managed to get out of his cage overnight, but he went him one better.....
