It was alot of years, cat or human. I moved a whole lot better 18 years ago, lol! At least we got to get creaky together, although he had me beat by a fair amount. I calculated it out once and figured me, him and his brothers were the same age for a little while in like 2005. This last group of cat (which are the last) are well matched to me. Males in my family don't go much beyond 65-70. I'm 55, and Ambercat is 3 in August, and the Feral Brothers are 5 in about July. Good timing.

I sadly have to report that I had to let my beloved, dear Floppy go to peace last night, on the 23rd. He was doing remarkably good, then suddenly, after the last picture was taken, he went completely blind and his mind seemed to be following. Looking back on things that happened over the last year, I now believe he did not have a tumor that originated in the mouth. I think that was the last place it spread, when it finally showed itself. I believe he had a brain tumor and it spread down to his palate. A great team came here from a not so local vet clinic with very little notice at 10PM, and he had a peaceful transition in his bed in his home. He was special beyond any ability to convey, and will always be a huge presence in my heart.

yes, raised together! They know they are siblings. I also don't have any toys that looks like birds, only rodent toys, so there's no confusion! They are constantly entertaining each other.

I raise parakeets as an accidental hobby, so the cats are used to being around birds, and the birds around the cats. I have six parakeets right now, that fly all over the place, and the cats give them no bother. Athena does like to give them a little scare, but in a playful way. She just like to watch them scatter and fly. They preen my torties Gaius' fur!!!

Yes, this was yesterday. Sill holding the course, no changes noted good or bad. He is a little wobbly on his feet, but that's probably the arthritis. Sleep, eat, groom, walk around a little, use the litterbox......
