Poor Haiku and poor you of course, too. I hope that everything will go well for your boy. Could be everything, a bladderstone in combination with a bladder infection maybe, the vets can help there very well. But of course there is the surgery and the anesthesia and the trembling uncertainty and I know how you feel. I will keep you in my thoughts . Please let us know when you have talkd to the vet.

Some two weeks ago I had to take Haïku to the vet then to the clinic for a couple of days. Blocked bladder, no stones but cristals in urine. Haïku was under medication and was going better and better. This morning he tried to pee several times with no results. Then there was blood. Some drops, but blood. I rushed him back to the clinic, where he'll undergo an operation this morning. I'm scared

Don't ever give up hope! When I was a kid, we had a cat that I let in the house at the start of the Blizzard of '78. She was with us for 13 years, but every so often, she'd leave for weeks at a time. The longest was for almost a year, then she'd show up like nothing had happened. Same thign just happened to a friend of mine in Mass. They took his father's cat in when he passed, and the cat disappeared a few weeks later. He just saw him in the yard suddenly, after about 5 months!
