Yes, that all sounds very much as if Daisy was a dumped housecat when she and her kittens were so tame. Reminds me very much of my Minka found with 6 kittens in neighbors garden, she was so sweet, too. Came running when she saw me and her kids following her. I am sure she was an abandoned housecat, too. This pic is great , the three cats looking down into your apartment waiting to be rescued :)

EDIT -- my mistake -- Robocat is 3rd from the left, behind Bear
All the brothers, soon after the ceiling extraction. From left -- Munchkin , Bear, Robocat, Floppy, Tony, and Ivan the Terrible, with his Siberian Tiger coat!

He calmed down in about 1/2 hour when he got in the house, and was purring before going to sleep. This morning he wanted to get right back out there! I always leave the shade on the door up a few inches so they can look out while I'm at work, so during the ordeal, Storm could look in and the other cats saw him out there.

Poor Mikesch - still always with the eyes open and watching! The look on his face in this picture is the one my Kitty WooWoo has now. I hope both of them lose it very soon. But Storm looks perfectly content to let Mikesch stand guard.

Poor baby! And there is no way Mark, that you of all people, are the worst cat guardian! They are sneaky little devils and can scoot by you without anyone noticing in a second. I bet poor little Storm won't be quite so adventurous next time or for quite awhile at least. My own Kitty WooWoo (who is going on 3 weeks without coming in unless I leave the kitty window open and he thinks no one sees him - I have NO clue what happened to bring this behavior on. He seems to have gone back to almost totally feral) anyway - somehow got into the garage and was shut in there for most of a day. I heard him yowling and he almost knocked me over running out. It could have been bad had it been in later in the season here in Texas as we are already seeing some 90 degree days. So hug Storm and his is precious pink nose. I'm sure the other cats have checked him out today as well . . .

Daisy definitely wasn't feral, she was most likely dumped. When she was coaxed onto a ladder under the hole with cat food on it and grabbed, she did one panic run around the apartment, then immediately stopped in front of me and went up on her feet when I cupped my hand over her head, to be petted, and calmed right down. The kittens were all friendly (I found Floppy about a week befor, on the other side of the ceiling, where he left the litter and followed the sounds of creatures he had never seen and started meowing like crazy), and came right to me to be removed a few minutes later.
