That is how I pronounce it, too. 😺 I have a friend in Scottland and he pronounced the i like the i in Mike for example.

Yes, mom named her. Not sure of the spelling. It's what Dad wrote on the back of the pic. That's how it was pronounced - "Berba-Lee". Or, "Berbie" for short.
