I know skin cancer can be a huge problem with white kitties. I have just adopted Aramis, quite white, and I have read that it is better to put some sunscreen on their ears when they go outside during summertime... I don't know if it is efficient enough as a prevention... Poor Charlie, I hope he will recovery very soon from his surgery.

Ladies and gentlemen, picato's friends, let me introduce myself! My name is ARAMIS, (from the Three Musketeers) , I am all white fur and blue eyes, and not deaf at all!!! I was born approximatively about April 2012. I was found on a parking lot, near Paris, and fostered for 3 weeks by a lovely lady before my new dad saw my picture on internet! ... and felt in love! I suppose I will be very soon a worldwide star!!!!

Hourdou with her cute shaved paws... She took her med, but doesn't eat, only a few kibbles, and she drinks... The scan is for tomorrow, I hope it will be ok for the surgery... even though I am scared of.... I wonder if we should not ask for hospitalization again to give her forced food, to try give her some more strength for the surgery.....

Not very good news about Hourdou. Bad protein cells have been detected in one of her lung. Possibilities to be a cancer : 98%. Two solutions: if no metastases, (after whole scan), remove the bad lung , the life possibilities are normal after recovering, but the risk is she doesn't recover from the surgery, second possibility, do nothing, and treat occasionally in case of crisis ( pleural effusion), probability of life : a few month to 2-3 years, nobody knows, a normal life till she be put to sleep when necessary... I prefer surgery, but there is a risk....
