Thank you for your kindness..... It must have been terrible for Charlene when she was blind as she had lost a lot of her hearing too when she and the boys had that nasty virus earlier this year The boys, Bruno and Lewis recovered very well but Charlene cannot hear very well any more. It was just too sad as she couldn't understand what was happenng to her........

Having just dispatched another annoying plant, Bruno the DIY super-hero poses with the evidence of what he has just done. "I will just have a rest for a moment while I get my strength back so I can tackle more horticultural jobs. I do wish my mum would get plants that I like...."

Thank you so much!! I am so thrilled about her sight, it's hard to put it into words. When Charlene was blind, she couldn't even find her bed and was just walking around bumping into everything. The vet is astounded as she saw Charlene nearly fall off the examination table on the first visit. I hope that the return of sight is permanent and not just a fluke. She has to take the tablets for the rest of her life.....xxxx

The vet said that the tablets she has been taking for her blood pressure and kidney function have brought both of these down to normal level. I'm overjoyed as the vet had initially said that I would have to get used to having a bliind cat. Now she will have a good quality of life and appears much happier and is purring all the time so must feel better.......

This is just the most amazing thing ever and the vet is so surprised. When Charlene went back for her checkup, the vet tested her reactions to light and her pupils both went small. Her right eye retina was totally detached and the left peeled back when she was blind. Now the vet says that there is some sight there but no-one knows how much. She can follow you with her eyes........

You are both so welcome. Charlene has been a little better now that she has started the blood pressure tablets. We will just have to wait and see what happens, I suppose as to whether she will regain any sight. She went out in the garden today by herself and walked up the steps to her favourite spot so things are looking promising. Lots of love to you both, Greta .....xxxxx

Hi agin, didn't want to run out of space to write....Charlene has to go back in two weeks and is on a course of tablets to reduce her blood pressure and regulate her kidney function. It was horrible leaving her as I knew she would be worried, not being able to see. She was so glad I was there to pick her up and was purring loudly and rubbing my hand with her mouth.....

Hi Marilyn & Mary, I took her this morning and the vets did tests for liver and kidney function, blood pressure and diabetes tests. Kate, the vet thinks it's her blood pressure that has caused the problem as it's very, very high high. She has very slight kidney impairment, really borderline normal,so nothing to worry about and everything else is fine......

She is a lot more comfortable today, Sunday and has been sitting on my knee, purring away. I desperately need to know what the vet is going to say tomorrow. I am baffled as to why this has happened to her...

Hi Marilyn, Charlene turned up in the front garden in a serious condition, full of ticks, fleas and worms. She had been hurt on her ear and was having fits and behaved as if she was very frightened. That was about 13 years ago so I reckon she is 16 or 17. She is such a sweetie. I adore her.....xxx
