Oh Taffy, I am so glad I was able to take pictures today and am very pleased to share them with you. I feel that Thomas didn't just belong to me, he belonged to all of you, my wonderful Picato friends. You all loved him so much and supported us both when he was ill. I'm sure he knew then and knows now as I do how loved he is....... Thank you all so much.....Greta....xxxxxxx

The owner of the cemetery went out specially to find and buy beautiful pink material to line the casket. She made him a lovely matching pink blanket to keep him comfortable and warm and put some pink flowers in with him. It was so kind of her.....I think the casket is so nice and I know Thomas will be happy with it.......
MackemCat says:
Thank you so much Taffy...It's been a very, very sad day but the owner was right when she said that the sun always shines here when a pet is buried no matter how bad the weather. Sure enough, even though the sky was dark and overcast with rain clouds, the sun shone through brightly as he was buried and I saw a beautiful rainbow.....It comforted me so much..........

Yes, micino...I will put a picture and another copy of his tribute book so visitors can read about him and know how much we all loved him. I make dichroic fused glass jewellery and I plan to make a glass cross for him, (pink of course) and tie it with ribbon to his wooden cross which will go on the grave in a few weeks time. The owner is going to try to get a pink stain for the wood....Oh, I miss Thomas so much....but I know he is safe here......

I wanted everything to be special for him. His casket is lined in pink, his favourite colour and I made a book of all the lovely messages and tributes that we received. I laminated them all and bound them in a book with pink ribbon and decorated it with butterflies. I put a CD in with him so he can hear me speaking to him if he is frightened or lonely and I gave him a ball of cream and gold sparkly wool to hold.....

Thomas is buried in the front plot. The owner buried him beside another little cat whose grave is just behind Thomas's. She said they would be company for each other and wouldn't be lonely. The other cat is called Titch and is very small...God keep them both safe.....

The pet cemetery is in a lovely, peaceful location and is surrounded by fields. All the graves are lovingly cared for by the owner and she says that she feels the spirits of the departed pets are all around. She knows all the names and stories about the pets and loves them all. Her own pets are all buried here too. She bought some beautiful pink flowers for Thomas and his casket is lined with pink...his favourite colour.....
