Wenesday 10/12/08. Thomas was sick in the night but managed some tuna and milk this morning. He is sleeping at the moment and seems comfortable....thank you so much everyone for your good wishes and prayers. They are a great comfort to us....xxxxxxx

Yes, I live in the UK, on the east coast of Northern England. the village of Heddon on the Wall where I live is about seven miles up the river from Newcastle upon Tyne on the horizon to the left of the picture.......
MackemCat says:
When Thomas lived here, from this point he would have looked out at all the bridges, the famous quayside and the cathedral. The Sage opera house, just left of the Tyne Bridge had not been built then.....It's a beautiful view from here....
MackemCat says:
This is the area where Thomas was born and lived wild before he became tame. He lived in the grounds of the building on the right where I used to work, sleeping in a road cone. We built him a cat shelter so he was nice and warm and dry. I am so glad he is home with me now.....and I hope he gets well again....
MackemCat says:
This would have been Thomas's view over Newcastle upon Tyne when he was living as a feral cat in Byker which is a district of the city. If you look as far as the horizon, that's about where we live now...

Thank you so much everyone. Yes, this is recent about 11 hour ago. I'm so relieved his blood is clear and there is no kidney problem. I'm still so baffled as to what to do about him being sick. I didn't think that a condition like Thomas's could worsen so quickly. He is still resting. I think he is exhausted. Hope the tablets work......
MackemCat says:
Dear Valerie...Happy belated birthday for yesterday....I hope you have had a wonderful and very secial day. I missed Teocato's post yesterday so apologies for this being late. I must say you look so young. What a delightful photo too...much love to you...Greta & the cats....xxxxxx

I have just brought Thomas back from the vets. blood sample was normal, no kidney problems or anything else (except for the megaesophagus which is what is making him fee so ill). He was very sick while in the vets. He has tablets to encourage him to eat and another antibiotic injection for his sneezing. He has had some milk and is in bed resting now.....
MackemCat says:
Stacey, Thank you so very much for this kind and comforting message.....It means so much. You and your wonderful family are so special to me and Thomas....Much love to you all.........xxxxxxx
MackemCat says:
Thank you so much, Stacey. I am trying so hard to make him feel better. The vet has been great today but he has no idea what is wrong until the blood tests come back tomorrow. I have to be at the surgery at 9.00am. I wanted them to keep him in but they said he would be happier and more comfoertable at home.....I don't know what to do.....
MackemCat says:
The vet doesn't know if the megaesophagus problem is making him ill or if it is something else. He has had the problem from birth and also has a heart murmur. He has always had problems with eating but never to this extent.....it's so worrying......
