If he was just plain miserable in the house that'd be different and I'd have to make the very hard decision to release him. But since he's doing so well as a house feral there's no reason to consider that. The only hump is to see what happens as they become adults. As long as my cats are fine with them, they're good.

Oh no. I'm so, so sorry to see this. I know what a pain this is to go through, and how much he meant. He was loved and knew it, and had a great life with you. How much they affect us in the unfairly short lives they have is testimony to how giant their spirits are.
