I just weighted them. The new one is 5.07 pounds, Baby is 6.2 pounds!! He's putting on weight like crazy, and he shares food with the other 3. When I trapped him, he was a little over 5 pounds too.

Baby 2 is calming down, and has the crazies at sunrise as predicted. It sounds like a gorilla is bouncing around in the room. Baby 1 hangs around outside the door in the hall, but when he's let into the room he immediately hisses and snarls at his brother, who does little questioning trills back at him. Cats are so strange.

From what I've heard, she's already forgotten about What's His Face (me), and is happy as can be. When she's settled I'll mention Picato to them again.

He got out of the cage again overnight!!! And that toy mouse in the picture is in little tiny pieces -- I'm hoping he didn't eat any. The cage (for all its worth) will be upstairs today, and he'll only be in the cage when unattended, otherwise he'll be in the closed room. I'm sure it's kitten energy that's causing him to go berserk overnight, Baby was the same way.

He's doing better today. But he trashed his cage again overnight and made a sore on his nose apparently trying to get out of the cage, but its not as bad as the pic makes it look. I think he just goes crazy at dawn like Baby did. I'll take the food and water out before dawn now. He lets me pick him up (with gloves) and move him short distances. I put flea treatment on today, and will dose him again tonite, then tomorrow I'll move him into the spare room. I think he'll be purring in a few days.

Chloe has gone to live with some friends of mine a little bit up the road. They're an older couple with a quiet teenage son, who lost their 15 year old female cat in 2008, and are just now wanting to replace that loss. She'll be an only pet, which is what she really needs. The last month plus she's been getting progressively worse with my cats. She antagonized them to the point that the boys were starting to have enough, and they were physically beating up on her to the point of fur flying, and worse, she didn't back down, and kept it up continuously. I was afraid for her safety, and needed to reluctantly move her on.
Happily, she's settling in great after 4 days at the new place, and is eating better (she looked over he shoulder while eating here, and I had to feed her in a closed room to get her to eat), and making friends with the family already. She'll also have access to a huge screen porch there with perches in it.
I'm happy that I had the opportunity to rescue Chloe from going into the shelter when her former owners moved, and helping her to find a perfect home.

He somehow got out of the cage again last night after making a mess of it. He got free run of the gargae for a little while until I cleaned it. Bit me pretty hard on my gloves while I was retrieving him. He ended up going back into the cage on his own after he realized there wasn't anywhere to hide. Still acting pretty wild, but at least he lets me pet him without snarling or swatting.

Someone's alot happier inside a house than in the "Great Outdoors". They're not called "housecats" for nothing. This is their natural habitat.
