They gave her a three day pain injection, but she doesn't seem to be in discomfort at all. I knew from the previous owner that the other canine fell out and the remaining one was loose for years. But he said the vet said there were no problems with her teeth, damn quack! My vet said the canine was being pushed out, and she had inflamed roots in the molars. I think she'll be feeling much better.

The vet just called. Chloe is out of surgery and did fine. They took a bunch of teeth out. Will post pics of her when she comes home tonite.

Chloe holding Court over one of her loyal subjects - Floppy, who had been King for the 13 years preceding her! The grace and intelligence of these "animals" continues to blow me away. But then, when you've been around for 50M years, compared to our 1M, whose got what to teach whom?

Chloe is going to the vet tomorrow for at least three extractions, that are responsible for difficulty with eating dry food. As routine as the procedure is (Floppy went through it a month ago), I still worry and am apprehensive, especially as she's 13 and weighs 6.5 pounds. I let her stay on the deck as long as she wanted tonite, and she stayed longer than she ever did -- right in the spot shown, purring and enjoying everything to the max - for 1.5 hours, literally right where she is in the picture. Please send your good thoughts and prayers to her. She will be going to the vet on Sept 3 at 8:30 EST.
thanks!

The brothers enjoying Labor Day, reflecting on their hard work over the previous year. Please forgive the decor, the interior of the house after the move has taken a back seat to the grounds and infrastructure.

No, he's fine, he was even out on the deck at 1 AM this morning, apparently looking for Robocat, who probably won't repeat the act after the toad let go with its glands while Robo was carrying it in his mouth. He spent a minute or two gagging.
