Chelsy was born 27th July and Marty 7th August. We picked them up on the same day. Chelsy came from just south of Bourne in Lincolnshire and Marty from Horbling just south of Sleaford. We just had a journey down the A15 from Lincoln. Marty stepped out of the basket as though he had always lived here but Chelsy was a little more scared to start with but they are both great friends as you can see.

Amy had been suffering with breathing difficulties/asthma for some time. After Simba died she just seemed to give up and stopped eating, her breathing got worse and in the end despite a lot of treatment from the vet had to be put to sleep.

Sad News - my dear boy Simba has collapsed and died aged 7. The vet said it was a heart attack -hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Lots of Love from his sister Amy and his devastated mum and dad.

My mother in laws dog had this - kept bleeding in the urine. It had crystals and had to go on a special tinned food diet. Pleased to report this stopped the crystals and it eventually died of old age.
Thinking of you both.
Jane for Amy and Simba

I just wanted to agree with the previous comment. We used to have our cats annually vaccinated but then Amy developed a lump at the injection site at the back of the neck and our vet said sometimes they can turn cancerous. Amy and Sumba don't have annual jabs now as they are older and don't go into a cattery. We also ask the vet to inject into the fleshy bit of the thigh if they have to have a jab.

Happy Birthday to Amy and Simba - nine and six today.
Having cat treats but as usual Simba has gobbled all his up and is now eying up Amy's.

I read about these 2 kleptomaniac cats on the bbc website and thought our picato family would enjoy their story - see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-25154820

That's how he got his name Simba - Swahili for lion.
He's our little lion, always purring and patting you with his paw.
Christmas Greetings from Lincoln UK to all our Picato friends.
