Yeah, sad story, but it was balanced a little. Ivan got adopted out to my landlord's son, for his little daughter. When he turned two and wasn't "cute" anymore, he had the decency to come to me first to ask if I wanted him back before he put Ivan in a shelter. And Robocat was going to my landlord's secretary, and I was getting him ready to go, but at the very last minute, they decided they didn't want to adopt a cat, so I decided to keep him.

What a sad story. :( I know how it is, something similar happend here with "my litttle Mikesch" and his two sisters. The people that got them seemed to be very nice, even promised to stay in touch and send a pic from time to time but when I tried to call them one year later the phone was dead and they had moved, never heard from them again. Had been a bit easier to know that the cats are fine .....Who knows maybe none of your boys was in the family (sister, grandparents) anymore when you offered the money. No reaction is a bit strange, either a "I would never give away the cat no matter how much money I would get" or a "yes you can have your cats back right away" but nothing.....Unfortunately we can't look into people's head , some seem to be nice but they are not. Or maybe we are just cat crazy and not everybody can comprehend this ? At least Chloe's new family understands and provides you with news and pics ( and us, too). :)

Two went to a young couple with a little daughter. I worked with the husband, 20 at the time, and they took two. The wife's grandparents took one. A few years later, when I moved into my house, I found their phone number and called. I got the wife. Apparently, early on, they separated the brothers, and one went to her sister's house in NH, because the brothers "made too much noise", apparently playing together :-( . I couldn't get much more info out of them, and they ignored my emails asking for pics of the cats. I even offered to buy them back at $600 per cat. Just got silence. Very mad about it to this day.

Did you ever hear about Daisy's other 3 boys you've adopted out ? Did one family or person adopt them all together ?

About this cat
Little Island Girl -- Chloe is a sweet little tiger/calico girl. If her birth date is correct, she is a couple months older than my cats. Also, if her story is accurate, she was born in Jamaica in the early 2000's, and was rescued after a disaster soon after. She ended up being adopted by a family in Marlboro, MA (where I grew up), who apparently took exceedingly good care of her. I saw her in a thread on a web board I frequent, after things apparently changed. The owners were looking to re-home her and their other cat because they "no longer could give them the attention they needed". She is tiny, she only weighs 6.5 lbs in July, 2013, and is very smart and very fast chasing a laser pointer. Despite her tiny size, she has a HUGE personality and presence. If she were physically the size that her spirit projects, she'd dwarf the biggest of the Big Cats.
