Mine for some reason avoid the stove. Ambercat will walk across it occasionally to get to the other side of the counter, but it isn't a problem. The only thing I can think of is a squirt bottle or small Super Soaker, and a squirt and loud "NO!!!" when he goes up there and you catch him. It still might not work in the end though. Depends on the cat.

This isn't the greatest picture of Callie but I want to send a message to Tele-Mark. How did you get Ambercat to stop jumping up on the stove? I have a new kitty in the house and he is wild without any manners. Jumping on everything. I'm terrified he will jump on the stove. I have a glass top and I've already seen his paw prints on the glass. He was only out of his room one day and I wasn't in the kitchen but he did go up there because of his paw prints.
