He caught it fair and square. It was in the enclosure, the cats aren't allowed to roam free. I was very proud that Daisy (a former stray) managed to teach them to hunt living in a house. This was a meal -- he ate everything but the feet. That's what cats do, and I was very proud of him. Alot different than killing it and not eating it.
