Exactly 2 years ago this morning, I trapped a 4 pound, dirty faced feral street waif in my yard to save him from the coyotes. 2 weeks later, he owned this place. This is about 1 hour after being trapped.

Ooops! I forgot about fleas! I happened to just think of running the flea comb through her coat today. Wow!! Emergency run to the vet for Frontline!

I know what you mean. Storm and Mikesch unbelievably can still get away with stuff the big cats should be slapping them for, and now Princess is charging all of them, and they're running away!

All by herself! I'm amazed at her agility. About the only thing she can't do after 2 days is get up on the kitchen counters, and get through the outside cat door. But on the latter, she quickly trained me to let her in and out through the sliding screen door.

Her mom is really, REALLY missing her. I gave her the link here, so she can see her kitten, and she is watching these pics I'm posting. If it ended up that way, I'd be honored to take care of this girl for the rest of her life. She's like Storm -- right out of the gate, she fits in and is part of the group. I've been doing rescues since 2000. My cats know the drill, and have gotten URI's, fleas, ear mites, etc from rescues and fosters over the years. I don't think anything will happen from this one, but if it does, everything is on hand here to take care of it.

Cats are amazingly chivalrous. The Big Cats (including Storm now) want to eat that food sooo bad, but wouldn't think of taking food from a kitten, let alone one who's earned their respect so quickly. So he waits his turn for what's left.

The only glitch with the little girl is that she has very bad ear mites, and very soft stool, probably from worms. Mom says she was rescued off the street, so no surprise. First night here, she immediately knew what the litter box was for, but in the middle of the night, she "squirted" on the couch. I decided to use some left over worm meds I bought when I trapped Mikesch and Storm, and she did fine with the litter box all day, but again last night, she pooped on the couch. But at the end of the day today, her stool was much firmer, and she made only one "poop" visit to the box. However, I'm not taking any chances tonight, lol!
