The very first thing I do when putting new shades in is cut the cords and "cauterize" them at the proper length to allow the strings to hang down to the still when the shade's down. Had a close call early on and learned my lesson with no damage done except to my heart valves, thank god!

They're brothers. They were part of a litter of six brothers. I stupidly adopted the other three out when they were 8 weeks old. Robocat was supposed to go but the person decided at the last minute not to take him. Ivan was adopted out and when he was 2 years old and the "adopter" was done with him for his little girl, asked if I wanted him back before he took him to the shelter. ;-(

I save plastic grocery bags for the litter box scooping. Way early on, Floppy "got into one", and the handle got around a rear leg. I was watching him when he took a step, the bag crinkled, and hye took off like something horrible was chasing him, and I thought he was going to break a leg the way he was bouncing off stuff. From that moment on, the first thing I do with a plastic bag is snip the handles.
