He was VERY happy to be off the streets! I thought he was feral when free, but he turned into a marshmallow immediately after being trapped.

Thanks everybody. When I adopted an older cat, I expected to have to deal with the possibility of not having them long. But, I didn't expect this shortt a time, especially when there was no indication anything was wrong, and she looked like she was responding to her diet. This just happened so suddenly it's a shock. She didn't have a great personality, but she was a cute cat.

I never grew to attached to her because of her disposition, but I adopted her only 7 months after the passing of my beloved Daisy, so everything from her disposition to her passing is making this a very sad experience that should've been a happy one.

Apparently the emergency vet who treated her back in April, who decided she was "too healthy to euthanize" just simply kicked the can down the road when he took her from the original owner who surrendered her and put her up for adoption. She never adjusted to living here, and hated everyone here, two and 4 legged. I only wonder if this was caused by the burden she was carrying. The bright side of all this is that another senior kitty will be able to be sprung from a shelter eventually.
