Last moments in the sunshine with dad. We kept her comfortable and tried to ensure she wasn't in pain, but everything was shutting down. A very wonderful and compassionate vet helped Mickey to quietly slip away to peaceful sleep.

My beautiful Mickey has left us today to be with her big brother Moses. I am completely lost and heartbroken to lose my little girl, but I know she is in a better place now and not in pain. She has been a part of our family for 22 years...and the house will no longer feel like a home without our fur baby. I am so grateful to have been her guardian and the object of her unconditional love for so many years. We have been blessed. I cannot stop crying...she will be in my heart forever.

My Mickey is the same...she likes to eat often but doesn't gain any weight. She was so chubby at one time and now weighs half of her heaviest weight. Our older kitties are a blessing, it is our duty to give them all the comfort we can in these twilight years! Yeah Moritz...snuggle in and enjoy!

Thanks Mark...she really is like the Energizer Bunny...she just keeps going and going! She sleeps a lot and likes to eat small meals but very often. She climbs up and down two flights of stairs several times a day to visit the litter box in the basement and then upstairs to sleep on my shoes in my closet while I'm at work. She still loves to come outside when we are in the yard and will fall asleep in the catmint patch in the sunshine. She is the best cat I've ever had!
