Here's Claire 3½ years ago. I was worried when I got her that she would tear up all my music equipment and furniture with her claws, but she hasn't touched either in all this time. She has one weakness though...the bottom lining of box springs. All beds have to have heavy cardboard between the frame and the bottom of the box spring, or she claws her way up inside, and starts running laps! So odd seeing as she never touches anything else.

Doin' the sprawl! It's wicked hot where we are too, but luckily our building has central air, so Claire is one cool cucumber despite the outside temps.

It took about 30 snaps to get this shot, but this is now my second favourite pic of Claire on the site. My all time fave is the second picture I ever posted here, back in February with her sprawled out flat with her head up, looking all long and lean

Super, thanks for the info! The site is still up so I guess they are still doing business. I know I don't have to question the strength of the hammocks if they had no problem handling Floppy at 23. lbs (she must be a big all around cat, because she doesn't look fat to me even at her heaviest) I'm sure 8 lb. Claire will be just fine!

Aw, so sad the final visit to the vet. I know it is just overwhelming sadness right now, but I hope that soon you can feel happy again when you think of Pud, and all the good times you had with her. I have sent out a thought to my dog Sam, and my cat Cricket who are Rainbow Bridge veterans that a sweety named Pud will shortly be arriving, and to take her under their wing, and show her the ropes.

She likes it when you pick her up, and bop around in time to the music. My last cat Cricket, LOVED music. Whenever I'd pick up a guitar, she would come running, and sit beside me to listen.
