Yes he got a mouse and has eaten it......yummy ! Moritz is a very good hunter, Paulinchen taught him everything about the hunt when he was a kitten. Paulinchen was a good hunter, too but since she is deaf I haven't seen her with a mouse or a bird anymore. I don't have to worry about coyotes or hawks , the only danger are other cats if you can call that a danger but of course the boys came home with scars from time to time but nothing that needed a vet only a bit ointment.

Exactly ! The door is open all day long and they go to bed and sleep but when I close the door then they get mad. ;) And for Moritz it is even worse because he thinks he has to go to the vet maybe and that is something he hates.

Mikesch is pretty much a totally comfortable house feral now, but he's still very much a feral! He trusts me most of the time, and loves to be pet. I can even pick him up right after I put a plate of food down, and he doesn't struggle at all -- he just wiggles around a bit to be put back down to eat, but doesn't display fear at all. He uses the cat door to the outside in both directions now, and doesn't panic as much when I go out into the enclosure, and he let's me "catch" and pet him more, but he's definitely still a wild, pure creature! He's a very special kit. I feel very privileged to have won his trust.
